Washington (UPI) Dec 11, 2007 - A computer security breach at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, in which hackers stole a database of visitors' personal information, was a highly sophisticated cyberattack and part of a concerted effort to penetrate numerous U.S. labs and other scientific facilities.

Washington DC (AFPN) Oct 02, 2007 - "The first battle in the wars of the future will be over the control of cyberspace," said Dr. Lani Kass at the Air Force Association's Air and Space Conference and Technology Exposition Sept. 26 in Washington. Ms. Kass, a special assistant to the Air Force chief of staff, has long been an expert on cyberspace and regularly advises Air Force leaders on operations in that domain.
