San Diego CA (SPX) Apr 30, 2008 - Northrop Grumman has received multiple contracts totaling $252 million from Lockheed Martin since Jan. 1, 2008 for the communications, navigation and identification (CNI) subsystem of the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter program. The awards include F-22 Production Lots 7, 8, 9 and spares, and modernization efforts for the CNI systems.

This opening cut, on a component part of the aft fuselage, signifies a major milestone for the F-35 Lightning II programme. St. Louis MO (SPX) Apr 23, 2008 - Boeing has been awarded a $3.8 million Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) contract for Phase 1 of the Vulture air vehicle program, an effort to create a new category of ultra-long-endurance aircraft. DARPA's Vulture program calls for developing technologies and ultimately a vehicle that can deliver and maintain an airborne payload on station for an uninterrupted period of more than five years using a fixed-wing aircraft.

In December 2007, BAE Systems was selected as the prime contractor for the MMPV program, worth up to $2.2 billion to produce up to 2,500 vehicles through 2015, for Army Engineers and Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams.
